Irwin, winner year-end contest 1937, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen" engraved on rear, white enamel DS dial, baton style hands, SW-LS, mono-metallic balance with blued Elinvar hairspring, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel arbor, striped pattern nickel damascene, s#2611828. Mvt: GRO, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some oxide to larger winding wheel and loop of regulator spring, loss of enameling on one of the digits in s#, few fine scratches under "Barrel" marking; flawless dial with a very minor as-made finish imperfection of a few minuscule specks of printing incompletion to the minute chapter near 12 and 1; excellent hands; case shows light wear, scattered fine scratches on rear, curved scratches to a portion of inner rear likely caused by a mvt case screw rubbing at some time in the past, no dents or dings, excellent engraving detail, tiny sliver of wear to brass beginning along rear shoulder, small bits of wear to brass at corners of pendant and to high points of bezel reeding; tight slightly brassy bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
